The QR code feature in the app Yzzy is used as a convenient way to share your profile with other users. Here's how it works:
- Each profile is assigned a unique QR code during creation, which, when scanned, leads to the user's profile page.
- Users can find their profile's QR code in the context menu of their profile:
- Go to the Profile screen (Me tab in the app's bottom menu).
- Open the context menu.
- Tap on the QR code icon → the user's profile QR code screen will open.
How do I share my QR code?
To share your QR code with others, you can press the Share button in your code's menu, which will open options to:
- Send in a direct message to your followers in the app
- Copy the link
- Share directly to your social networks
Scanning a QR Code
To scan a code, open the QR code menu and press the scan icon in the top right corner. Aim your camera so that the code is within the frame. The code will be automatically scanned, and you will be directed to the user's profile.
General tips
- Suboptimal lighting conditions, either excessively bright or dim environments, can hinder the camera's ability to capture a clear image of the QR code.
- Hold your phone steady and adjust the camera focus to ensure the QR code is sharp and in focus.
- Don't hold your phone too far away from the QR code. Aim for a comfortable scanning distance recommended by your app (usually a few inches).
- Outdated app versions can have buggy scanners. Update the app on both devices to the latest version.
- The QR code might be linked to outdated information or a non-existent profile within the app, similar to a "404 error" encountered on web pages.
- The app might require camera permission to be enabled on the user's device for the QR code scanner to function.
